@RepReaganPaul If we can put the same amount of tax dollars into Nuclear power as we have “renewables” then Maine will boom. Industry will return if energy cost become the lowest in the nation. And we can do this.

And don’t forget that wind turbines must be replaced 4-5 times over the 60-to-80-year lifespan of a typical nuclear power plant.

@Robert_Wessels Not using the tools they give you is not the way we make changes. Nobody will know you voted straight across. It’s concerning to me that primary candidates are telling people to not rank their votes.

Would you support your municipality using DDT to try to curb this current tick explosion?

Couldn’t even fill my truck up cause the pump kicks off at $100. Got 3/4 tank. This is NOT sustainable for the working class people in this country.

Republicans need to focus on domestic policy. Voters care about cost of gas, groceries, homes, etc. because it’s part of their daily lives. We’ve delivered some good wins, but if we don’t deliver on what we promised for the average American, we’ll have the midterms we deserve.

Just did some much needed maintenance on my property after work. If I'm in the woods or brush or yard, I'll often do a "tick shower" after.. anyone else? Its what you do even if you don't need a shower. Just to make sure there's no ticks on ya!

@Grizzly660xp @guidance_dept Get the spray for clothes and do it. It probably gives you cancer eventually but beats a lifetime of tick borne illnesses.

@guidance_dept When I was a young buck, there was no such thing as 'ticks'. ... now they're everywhere! Wood ticks and deer ticks. 🙄 ugh. I've had many biting me. No Lymes, yet.

@shennabellows, it’s time to take off one of your hats. You can’t run the election as Secretary of State while simultaneously running for Governor. Maine deserves confidence in our elections.

@RibeyeAndRosary First and only time I had ticks embedded was 2003 in Missouri. Slept in a shelter half and had 6 of them in my armpits. Never even seen one before that growing up in Maine. Now they are everywhere up here.

Lone Star Tick…. Alpha Gal…. Carnivore nightmare fuel or hype? I grew up in the woods, so checking for ticks after a day in the sticks is just standard practice here in Missouri. But this is different, and I’m trying to balance fear and logic. Last night I saw that the county I live in is starting informational sessions on the topic. And someone in my circle did in fact get bit, had a severe ER-level anaphylactic reaction to a hamburger, and was subsequently diagnosed. Anyone else losing sleep over this? Fear is outpacing my logic and common sense, which is unlike me. Not loving it. And my tendency to assume everything is a conspiracy is also not helping 😭

Pay attention to the Graham Platner signs. They seem to be disappearing from yards. Even the people who may eventually vote for him are becoming uneasy supporting him publicly.

Prevention measures like an $11 bath mat could save Americans tens of thousands of dollars.   If Medicare would send these out to every recipient in America, I’ll bet the investment would pay for itself in under a year.
