I crafted freezing pots cuz hyper armor and freezing stun go well together, I figured I'd use it to not deal with waterfowl. I used fire on my sword to exploit her weakness, I built around the fight to create a duel where I engaged her just as much as she did with out me needing-

@HkonMk I think the craziest thing is that he's such an important character in lore, powerful and skilled enough to seal an Outer God AND he's Malenia's master, and yet his sword is just a normal ass sword and the talisman blows. Absolute waste of potential.

The Blind Swordsman is such a crazy piece of Elden Ring lore.
Gets a flowing sword from a fairy, and uses it to seal an Outer God of Rot. That same blade now guarded by TWO Night’s Cavalry.
Then he just goes on to mentor MALENIA.
and we never see him once.

@RedSnebber @ezequiel51_ DeS has about 4 good levels. The rest are either mid or actual garbage. 1-1, 1-3, 3-1, and 4-1 are all great/good imo. 3-2 and 2-1 are mid. 1-4, 2-1, 5-1 are all bad and 1-2 , 2-2, 5-2 are all actual dogshit rivalling lost izalith in quality

I was recently thinking something similar about Outer Wilds and the dead time between deaths. That trade off ends up being positive because of the cohesion it creates. I feel the same about DS1, DeS might have better level design, but those shortcuts fully recontextualize the-

By far the most Overhyped thing about this game, it relies on mid areas that just serve as connection points darkroot/valley of drakes and it stops giving a shit after the first third of the game. its cute, but people act like its Super Metroid, when its not even Hollow knight
