Since China's healthcare keeps getting held up by retards as something to be emulated, here's my experience again.
2 years ago my father in law was very sick, lung issues, needed constant oxygen. After Covid, and the collapse of the property developers like Evergrande, local government finances were tight and so subsidies to hospitals were cut. For those unaware, local governments made a large portion of their annual income from land sales to these property developers.
Staff were laid off and those remaining were forced to take mandatory pay cuts while some hospitals closed down permanently. In order to wring more money from people the hospitals collude with each other to rotate patients between them. You are only allowed to stay in one hospital for like 2 weeks before they transfer you somewhere else where you have to pay for the same tests and treatments again.
In a first tier city in China the hospital my FIL was in had rusty furniture in his room, poor air conditioning in the middle of summer, and NO nursing staff to take care of him.
Nurses primary job is to do the paperwork, give shots, and change IVs. They do not do stuff like bathing, changing clothes, feeding patients, etc. The patient's family has to either stay in the hospital to do this themselves or hire a private nurse. Costs for private nurse depend on if they are taking care of multiple patients or are hired to be the exclusive caregiver. Even then, most of the time I was there the nurse was just playing on her phone the whole time.
Anyone who views the mainland Chinese medical system with anything other than loathing is a hopeless retard.

India born Sriram Krishnan, Senior Policy Advisor on Artificial Intelligence, is "voluntarily leaving the position. Reportedly, he purchased his degree in India and entered the US on a VISA to work with Microsoft.
Krishnan was a huge advocate for the India tech pipeline and removing per-country caps for green-card employment based permanent residency, to clear the massive backlog of Indian applications to enter the US. Allegedly, there were tensions about the H1B reform and 60 day waiting period.
How much more will it take to convince you that the India-US corridor and those involved, doesn't benefit the US AT ALL?

@melancoptimist The honest reason is that Israelis are pretty much the global experts at desalination out of necessity, because they have next to no natural fresh water sources. If memory serves about 90% of all water in Israel is desalinated sea water.

This was actually the stupidest move they made.
If a popular jock from one school, who killed a popular jock from another school during a stupid shoving match, had totally thrown himself on the mercy of the court and the community....we're honestly talking a brutal boot camp, 10 years forced-sober probation, and a daily youth-work circuit.
Bringing in the Muslims, insulting the victim's dad, etc was far far over the line for me - much less a buncha Texans.

This isn't right... Republican voters have an orange return envelope for their ballot. Unaffiliated voters have an purple return envelope. If someone wanted to tamper with ballots, this makes it easier... Why not just use the same return envelope for everyone?
