The genocide in Gaza is not one tragic event in a stream of unrelated tragic events. It is a product of colonialism which itself is a product of capitalist imperialism. I get you have to ignore this to land Hillary Clinton interviews, but this framing is absurd.

You have to be willfully obtuse to believe the death toll is actually only 60k people. You have to be even more obtuse to not understand that “modern history” is not a set of random events but is the result of historical processes playing out globally.
