Had a blast today. Woke up with about seven hours of sleep with daylight savings. Coming from Denver, I was scheduled to teach a group at around 5:30 AM my time, when you adjust for the timezones and time change. But the group was great and we had a lot of fun talking about how to think on your feet at the poker table and put people on hands quickly. All the students were fun to work with and asked excellent questions. Afterward, their club was running a wrestling-themed poker tournament with some proceeds going to charity. Man, these folks went all-in! Everyone had a costume. We had Hulk Hogan, John Cena Jake The Snake (with a real live motherf*cking snake!), the Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Macho Man! They played in character during the tournament, and everyone had fun. I got to the final table, but a gent who has been following my articles since the 2000s busted me out in 4th. I taught him well 😎. I got to sign a ton of books and even had a kid ask me to sign the Ace of spades. It's always a surreal experience to be signing things for folks. I'm honored. I really have the best job on Earth. Got to meet some real great people out in Albany, go to a comedy club, talk some cards, and play some cards! Great weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out! Every single one of you was super kind with me and made me feel right at home. Can't wait to be back here!
