The most glaring double standard in modern society is the definition of fraud. If a man deceives a woman out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and decades of emotional investment, he goes to federal prison for financial ruin and emotional abuse. But when a man looks down at a baby in a delivery room, unaware he is being tricked into funding another man's child for the next eighteen years, society shrugs. There is no prison sentence for paternity fraud. The law doesn't protect a man from being emotionally and financially harvested.
