@DrUmeshPrabhu @DerekRichford @BAPIONorthEast @gedbyrne @RameshMehta15 @rogerkline As well as Mind the gap for training I think we also need to acknowledge the Mind the gap in Rotas within many Maternity Units nationally. Need to focus on attrition rates due to burnout and also numbers of deanery trainees available for units especially small peripheral ones!

Such an important fund needed to improve UK maternity services. It would give backfill and staffing to be able to deliver life saving training. We want to train and learn and we do what we can with the limited resources we have currently but we need funding to help us

The Baby Lifeline Mind the Gap report found the main barriers to training are staffing and finance, therefore the min value of the fund should be £19m per year: £7m to cover the direct costs of training and £12m to allow trusts to ‘backfill’ the workforce. bit.ly/39tL3Pt
