I have been a Noelvi Marte fan from the start, and at one point said he would be the better player between he and Elly. But right now, hes simply a platoon player with reverse splits. Youre not gonna get a ton of play like that. Anywhere.

The Marte stuff is pretty telling to me. They don’t trust him, and I don’t really blame him. Work ethic was questioned (again), he’s not solid in the OF, he didn’t have a great spring. I get everyone wants to clamor for the talent but if 25 guys are seeing one thing in the dugout the manager isn’t going to reward it. He made the opening day roster because of his pedigree, they probably hoped that would kick him into gear. It’s hasn’t and he hasn’t looked good doing it.
