Dashcam footage shared with UB1UB2 from the early hours of Tuesday 29 April 2026 appears to show a Metropolitan Police pursuit on the A406 at Hanger Lane in Ealing, with the suspect vehicle driving the wrong way on the carriageway at around 1.01am.
The footage was captured by a passing driver on the gyratory. Identifying details of the vehicles involved have been blurred. The outcome of the pursuit is currently unconfirmed.
Wrong-way driving on major arterial roads presents a serious risk of head-on collision, even at lower-traffic hours. Hanger Lane gyratory carries traffic 24/7 including night shift drivers, HGVs, and emergency response vehicles, with vehicles regularly travelling at speed approaching and exiting the junction.
