'The Empty Grave of Comrade Bishop' is one of the best podcasts I've ever heard. A mystery that could not be twistier and that is also important. New revelations along the way. Amazing characters. I can't recommend it highly enough. washingtonpost.com/investigations…

It's Filipino American History Month. Eat all the lumpia, but also read about events like the 1904 World's Fair, where Filipinos were put on display in St. Louis. We put out a comic on the fair for our series on the Smithsonian's human brain collection. wapo.st/46sqSOK

In 1933, a physician took the brain of 18-year-old Mary Sara after she died, likely without consent. He sent it to the Smithsonian’s US National Museum for a “racial brain collection.” Today, 90 years later, Sara’s family buried her brain with the rest of her remains in Seattle

The Natural History Museum today has 255 brains, just a portion of at least 30,700 human remains. This includes the brains of a Sami woman named Mary Sara, Indigenous Filipinos who died at the 1904 World’s Fair, Black people who died in DC, and others from around the world.

Important investigation into the Smithsonian’s collection of 250+ human brains, most removed without consent from Black & Indigenous people -- an effort led by Ales Hrdlicka, a curator who believed that White people were superior. By @ndungca @clurhealy: washingtonpost.com/history/intera…

We made an audio documentary about hip-hop! Hear the story of how hip-hop came to be from the legends themselves, including Rakim, YoYo, The Lady of Rage and others. Honored that my friend Sean Carter allowed me and @ReenaJF to help him tell his story. washingtonpost.com/podcasts/post-…

Honored to have produced this episode for @washingtonpost's Post Reports with the great @arelisrhdz @ReenaJF, Martine Powers @RennieYS and Ted Muldoon. I still cannot listen to this episode without tearing up. Thank you to Jalissa Ybarra for recounting one of the worst days.

So... I'm sure you saw something about that mind-bending discovery about how our universe functions right? Thankfully we have @vmjaggard99 to make it make sense on Post Reports (and yes, she answers my time travel question!) This was a fun one: washingtonpost.com/podcasts/post-…

A Pulitzer & a Peabody!! What an unbelievable 2 days! This feels like undeniable proof that Indigenous stories matter & that we should support Indigenous people to tell them. We are so grateful to survivors who shared with us & hope this means more people will hear their voices.
