🚨 It’s very likely the Maple Leafs will “move forward” with Craig Berube as the coach of the team next season. Unless a GM coming into a new organization has someone in their back pocket they’ve worked with before, new people joining the organization want to get to know the people currently working with the team—especially those still under contract, like Craig Berube (2 more years). I kind of respect Maple Leafs leadership for their ability to go with their gut and hire the guy that they believe is the best option. Blocked out all of the noise and hired the guy they want (Chayka). The majority of the hockey world is looking at this as a weak hire, that is destined to fail. They will come out of this looking like geniuses or whatever term you want to use that is the opposite of a genius. #Leafsforever
