Planning one for 2027
Starting Small with hotel venue, which has capabilities to replicate feel of OG Offkai Atrium
Combining SFW and NSFW presence and programming so there is room for everyone
Venue scouting is the hardest part: there are some great venues for con itself, but terrible for community feel in a form of room parties our outside the con activities within good distance to the con
There is one perfect venue i have in mind, which would allow for everything we would ever want, including ability for sexier cosplays. Sadly a different con holds a very strong non-compete over them. And it’s def not year 1 venue
Not gonna be just OshiBar thing this is a conglomerate of a lot of talented individuals and companies i met over the years, and who have years of experience running cons

Someone needs to do a Vtuber Convention in Texas! There is a good amount of Vtuber fans here. Theres plenty of good venues -Kay Bailey Hutchison in Dallas -The Gaylord resort in Grapevine -Fort Worth convention center -Henry B Gonzales convention center in San Antonio

I didnt expect this to blow up with so much support, if the right people get together this can happen. Starting a con requires a lot of planning and research and the right people. I would love to see a Texas vtuber convention just gotta start small then work your way up.

I really truly recommend working for a con or event as a volunteer first before diving in to this sort of thing. It gives you a good picture of what can and will go wrong and unique intricacies nobody would think of and prepares you on how to tackle them 🙇
