Less talk, more action. Huge shoutout to the incredible university students partnering with #NGOs . They are proving that true environmental change starts on the ground, in our communities, and with a shared purpose. Let's keep rolling up our sleeves! 🇺🇬💪 #YouthLead
Youth For Green Communities (YGC).@YGCUganda

Some of the most meaningful environmental Conversations don't happen in conference rooms; they happen when people roll up their sleeves & get to work. @YGCUganda continues to support university students who are transforming environmental responsibility into meaningful action.

When frontline communities unite, their shared experiences transform into collective power. By standing together across regions, Greater Masaka and Bunyoro are ensuring that no community faces these challenges in isolation.
AFIEGO@AfiegoUg

👫Communities become stronger by learning from each other. 🤝 Last week, AFIEGO supported an exchange learning visit between oil-affected communities from Greater Masaka and Bunyoro sub-regions. The communities shared lessons, challenges and affirmed unity and collaboration.

Indigenous Peoples must be meaningfully integrated into COP processes through three critical pillars: climate finance, gender mainstreaming and capacity building. Without these, participation risks remaining symbolic rather than transformative.” @RobertJTurykira @CIVICUSMonitor

Zoka Forest is Uganda’s last big tropical rainforest in West Nile. It stores carbon, makes rain & holds wild coffee genes that can save Uganda’s $800M coffee industry from climate change. With all the above richness, this is the current destruction in Zoka Forest. What a Pity.

"Over 90% of new renewable projects are now cheaper than fossil alternatives. Gas-fired power is now 3x to 4x more expensive than solar and wind." In @StandardKenya, @350's Rukiya Khamis argues that Africa must stop betting on fossil fuels. High prices and supply shocks are pushing communities to the brink, yet billions are still funneled into projects like EACOP. Read the full article here sl1nk.com/3b3yk0a Africa holds immense renewable potential - it’s time to fund the future, not the past. 🌍 #RenewableEnergy #REPowerAfrica
