❗️The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam is not only one of the biggest ecological and humanitarian disasters in the east of Europe that led to the flooding of vast territories and many settlements, but is in fact the biggest crime against food security in the world. The Kakhov reservoir was the heart of one of the largest irrigation systems in Europe. It was the southern regions of Ukraine that supplied the countries of the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe with wheat, corn, sunflower and sunflower oil, soybeans and soybean meal. @ArchaeologyDon @PhDVoice @PostdocVoice I think the question here is holiday compensation. In many (especially corporate) jobs you get payment regardless whether you take or not holidays. But if you chose not to take holidays you must be compensated for those days on top of your normal rate

@ashish_a_malik And 14k is the difference. If your bursary covers home fees (4-5k) you still need to pay 13-14k on top of that. Also to get tier4 visa you need to have few more thousands available on your account or to have a proof your bursary is over specific threshold too

@ashish_a_malik Don't forget non UK students pay twice higher (or even more) tuition fees. For me that was the reason to move after my masters, I could manage 2-3k NHS contribution, but not 14k annual tuition fees
