A warm sunny day for the Richmond Library Cleanup this afternoon. Good group of 14 volunteers ranging from middle school students to seniors. For One City Day, 10 @SFPublicLibrary branches hosted neighborhood cleanups and we’re looking for volunteers to lead regular cleanups.

900 volunteers removed 1,000+ bags of trash at 40 citywide cleanups this past weekend in San Francisco, one of the largest turnout of volunteers thanks to One City Day bringing people out! Inspiring to see so many good people come out to do their part to make our city the best!

Just going about our cleaning ways on a Wednesday in San Francisco. Masonic Cleanup crew came out in the morning filling 12 bags of trash and 2 garden bags of weeds. Then the Filbert Steps squad gathered 12 more bags of trash and another garden bag of leaves. Join the team!

Successful 1st cleanup with low-income Asian seniors, a program sponsored by @taaforg. We went to the food pantry run by Richmond Neighborhood Center to recruit volunteers. 8 seniors joined us at Smart & Final to clean for an hour and received a gift card to buy groceries after.

Over the 4th of July weekend, 270 volunteers spent the holiday filling 280 trash bags with litter found in our neighborhoods, beaches, and parks in San Francisco. Pride in America is more than bbqs & fireworks - it’s every day citizens giving back to our amazing country.

Some volunteers from Carmel Cares were out on the beach cleaning it for all the people celebrating the 4th of July. There said they’re out here on holidays and regularly on their own. Also saw a lady in a Lions Club vest pickup a couple of pieces of litter downtown.

4th of July weekend of cleanups kicked off with the Morning Coffee Cleanup in the Inner Richmond sponsored by Cinderella Bakery. Even though it’s a Holiday weekend, San Franciscans don’t take a vacation from keeping our beautiful city clean. Let freedom from litter ring!

3rd year in a row for an Ocean Beach Cleanup with the team from @MorganStanley this morning, which was rescheduled after a rainout of our originally planned cleanup. 30 strong spread out to clean the beach, boardwalk, parking lots, Sutro Heights Park, and Golden Gate Park.

Mid-Market was just beginning to improve w/ commerce & healthy activity. supermarkets, apartment development, independent bars & shops. yet city "leaders" said FU and in 2024 @elonmusk packed up and left. since then, the area settled back into deep blight. know your history.

Over Pride Weekend in San Francisco, 400 volunteers took pride in our city and removed 410 bags of litter from the local environment. Our colors are green, hi-vis yellow and orange, and our volunteers fill out the other colors of the rainbow coming in all forms of humanity.

Productive morning cleanup with the team from @YouTube along the Embarcadero. More than feeding us cat videos, they stepped outside to pick up litter and prevent it from getting into the Bay.

Happy to see a nice showing for the Marina Happy Hour Cleanup this afternoon. 10 volunteers came out and filled 16 bags of trash, even though it was cleaner than usual. As always, Wilder treated us a free drink and a great conversation was had. Meet us here every 4th Thursday.

Cleanup today with the team from KeyOpp Property Management that is moving into a long vacant space at 6th and Balboa in the Inner Richmond. They are committed to being part of the community and will be leading a monthly neighborhood cleanup with employees and the public.

This past weekend, 31 cleanups were organized citywide in San Francisco, where 515 volunteers cleared 580+ bags of trash. Including the sunup to sundown Summer Solstice Cleanup where 30 volunteers came out at points on the 7.5 mile route along Mission St to pick up 109 bags!

The 5th annual sunup to sundown Summer Solstice Cleanup is in the books. Thank you to all the volunteers (and especially Ms. Huie!) that helped remove 109 bags of trash along Mission St. Can’t wait to do it again in 2027!
