I’m sorry but how do you respect a Wemby fan? Born with the best genetics in basketball history, but he gets applauded because he’s “coordinated for his size.” Well when you’re 7’5 and being coordinated is all you have to worry about then it doesn’t sound too hard to develop. If he wasn’t good at basketball then it would simply just be embarrassing. I prefer players who had to work their asses off to actually develop various skills, instead of being handed everything at birth. “He’s a great defender!” He’s 7’5 he better be a great defender and should be averaging at least 7 blocks a game. He already had everything handed to him: genetic lottery, great team after one healthy year. But that isn’t enough, he has to cry to the media to win his MVP because that’s all he’s used to: getting what he wants because he’s super tall so he has people in awe, and it really worked. Players like Luka can string together seasons putting up a near 35 point triple double, SGA with the most efficient 30 point season ever, and Jokic putting up 28/13/11, but it just doesn’t matter because the crybaby has to get what he wants. If anyone else acted the way he does they’d be labeled corny, but he’s labeled passionate.

Draymond Green should’ve been over Harden in the MVP race multiple times then

Victor Wembanyama, 35 PTS, 18 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 14-22 FG, 4-6 3PT, 3-4 FT, 33 MIN, (1/3/2025) Nikola Jokic, 41 PTS, 18 REB, 9 AST, 2 STL, 15-36 FG, 3-10 3PT, 8-9 FT, 37 MIN, (1/3/2025)

Wemby ain’t done shit yet. No adversity, no playoffs, no hurdles, no haters. Just drafted to one of most prestigious franchises, handed some elite teammates, told to spend his rookie yr jacking threes. Now his first year in competitive run at 22 yrs old they want to hand him MVP, even tho his offensive numbers are significantly lacking compared to the field, came off the bench for a quarter of the season, doesn’t eclipse 30 mpg, on a team w a .667% winning % w/o him. No way do I want to see him win an MVP yet, let’s see some damn blood first at least
