A special day for us at @RehabRowan. One of our 1st pts came to see us today with her family to donate copies of the amazing book they’ve published. The book is aimed at young children to help explain stroke and its effects, including mobility, arm and speech difficulties

Are AHP consultant rehab units safe? We compared acute transfers from our rural community hospital based rehab unit and only had 11 in the whole of 2023, lower than many community hospital wards. Many other medical issues were successfully managed on site. (We take pws with NG)

Today was a good day! Some electric wh/chair practice for neglect, debriefs re 2 complex cases, & experimenting with the kitchens to up our purée game!! Here’s our lovely Janine with her pineapple, cranberry & apple juice purée pudding (she’s trying to look like she’s smiling!)
