Along with the HHH I will be volunteering with some coaching for the summer program and PGA Jr League this year. I will get a first hand look at the programming that each donation goes towards helping and happy to donate on behalf of Dynamic Golf again this year.

Anyone, in the Omaha metro, have a recommendation for a golf instructor? Specifically for a newbie teen golfer? I've given her some basics and she's making really good contact, but now needs to add more turn and speed, and I don't want to screw that up :)

@ITM_OMA I actually just went and saw Mark Nygaard at Willow Lakes for a quick fine tune session last week. sparkygolf.com Known him for a couple years now and he was great. Was my first ever lesson and he picked up where I was at to help get me back on track. Solid price too.

I have always played the ProV Yesterday a player I work with who is getting ready to turn pro and I were discussing golf balls and sponsorships. He said the Srixon was also really good. I have never even thought of playing the Srixon, anyone here play it, is it worth testing it out?

@MidwestGolfJake Quite often actually, mainly due to bunkers being very firm and not fluffy sand.

I love stuff like this. A Hallmark of great design... Provide options for different types of shots! Anybody ever putt from a bunker? I have. It's a great play when there's no lip and it's a shortish shot.

@ITM_OMA I have not, I actually started doing the opposite and keeping it more down through the full stroke. Saw on video I tend to pull up/move my head a bit early w/the stroke. Think that was causing me to not make great contact. Noticed when I kept it down through more distance came🤔

@Rehbein14 have you ever tried heads up putting for lags?

Lag putting is brutal for me so far this season, may pull out the 60 degree and start chipping off the green. Or atleast bellying the wedge to get it close to the hole. Definitely getting added to this upcoming weeks practice routine. ✅

@heyjudeworld Same! I stay more focused and prepared on shots instead of getting in a cart and chatting it up too much.

100%. And I play better when I walk. Better rhythm to the round and pace of play. Less idiocy as well.

Out playing a round this afternoon and I feel extremely balanced in my swing after some adjustments. Amazing how it has toned down my low-spin left miss. Only problem is with that balance and efficiency, there’s extra distance coming with it and missing my marks by about 12yds.

@OfficialTourPro Agree, although I ride more than walk. Got a new push cart for this season since my home course isn’t ideal for walking with lots of distance between various holes but hoping that leads to more calm walking rounds 🙌🏻

Walking a golf course is more enjoyable than riding in a cart. Agree or disagree?

@dkwintersgolf Club face and control for sure rule. I was blessed with speed when I started playing and I love it but finding that speed that results in control is a challenge still. Always feel it’d be better to have the control and gain speed than have speed and try to gain control.

When you play golf with someone that can generate a massive amount of club head speed, it is special to watch. It doesn’t matter what club head or ball they play, the ball just goes far. Speed is hard to teach, but club face and path control rule. You match up those things and it’s special. I’ve played with a few guys over the years that bomb it, but watching some college players now versus when I played is a lot different. It’s pretty damn cool.
