@ShofuBeatdown You can’t keep a combo going in those games though. There’s nothing you can do to stop the bosses from getting super armor and breaking out mid combo. That’s why Xillia 1 you just use palm strike with Jude the whole time. Zestiria you have to just do small combos.

@MinModulation Even in Shadowbringers the translation makes it seem like Yshtola and Runar are interested in each other romantically when they have a master/servant relationship.

Careless translation is just kind of stupid. Early on in FFXIV, they had altered some characters personalities from Japanese, only to run into problems when they had become major characters later down the line in the first expansion, because they lacked the necessary foresight.

@hellostal Yeah if they want to change the job skill system just change it. this sounds like something completely un balanceable and people will be expected to use one or the other depending on whats percieved as stronger

@EnforcerNo0 @magatsuizanyagi Arts are better in basically every game that isn’t CS1 and 2. You can make delay and casting times effectively nonexistent in CS3/4/R. Arts are also so much better in the Calvary games. DB1 S Crafts were insanely good but arts still were better than regular crafts.

I never use arts, especially not in Cold Steel and Calvard. The juice is almost never worth thr squeeze and physical attacks are comically AND supremely overpowered in CS1/2 and overpowered in CS3/4/R. Calvard is generally better with it but you can still brute force any encounter by physically attacking and using crafts.

has anyone tried to beat a trails game without using any arts? or other way around where they don’t use any crafts?

@magatsuizanyagi Playing the game on the hardest difficulty where some boss fights can take 30+ mins, no turbo mode and letting every animation play out plus talking to every NPC at every opportunity puts me around 200 hours every Trails game.
