The ball was hit clearly to Jazz, who has the better angle and throw, where as Volpe would have to throw across his body.

Jorge Polanco, sidelined with left Achilles bursitis, likely won’t be at full strength for the rest of the season, according to Carlos Mendoza earlier this morning.
Polanco has resumed some baseball activities and will travel with the team to Washington, but Mendoza said the injury is something he’ll likely have to manage moving forward.
“He’s gonna feel it,” Mendoza said. “We have to keep it to a point where he can tolerate it. If not, he’s gonna be shut down for a long period of time.”
