This is an incredibly rare and prestigious academic honor. To understand just how huge this is: 📉 Callie was selected from an initial pool of over 1.3 million students nationwide. 🏆 She officially ranks in the top 1% of high school seniors in the country. 📝 Callie had to maintain an outstanding academic record throughout high school, earn a confirming top-tier SAT/ACT score, and submit a rigorous application including a personal essay and a school recommendation. Congrats on this phenomenal achievement Callie! 👏💙

This is one of the highest academic honors a U.S. high school student can achieve. To give you an idea of how impressive this is: Dharbi emerged from a pool of over 1.3 million students nationwide. Coming up on Wednesday (Aug. 20) is @IlliniFootball all-star alum Don Hansen's 81st birthday. The 12-year NFL standout, who now lives in Snellville, Ga., has been married for 62 years and is a grandparent to 11 and a great-grandparents to three more children. @ReitzHighSchool

We're thrilled to announce that Nora Walsh, chemistry teacher at @ReitzHighSchool, has been named Teacher of the Year by the American Association of Chemistry Teachers (AACT)! This prestigious award recognizes educators who make outstanding contributions to chemistry education through their exceptional teaching and dedication. Mrs. Walsh teaches on-level, honors, and AP Chemistry and is also an AP Chemistry reader and mentor, associate editor for Chemical Education Xchange, and a two-time PAEMST Finalist for Indiana. Congratulations!! 👏
