While the UN tries to avoid to point at the obvious culprit of the strike against their convoy in Kherson, Ukraine, Russians released FPV footage of that particular strike, making absolutely clear this wasn’t some kind of accident, but a deliberate terrorist strike, which civilians in Kherson have to endure on a daily base.

As usual it moves from Hamas propaganda HQ to the pages of the NYT. Why on earth would you pay any attention to what the New York Times says on Israel?

I really like how DS9 flipped expectations by having the son of the captain be a completely regular guy that wants to be a writer instead of joining starfleet and his best friend the ferengi is the one who joins starfleet instead

TLJ is a bad movie, but almost no one gets why. The ideas, such as Luke being disillusioned with the force, and Rey being a nobody, are amazing. The actual problem is that they are executed horrendously. The movie also have a HUGE tone problem

If you pitched this as a screenplay every studio would reject it for being too on-the-nose. A 73-year-old architect walks to confession in 1926 and gets hit by a tram on the Gran Via in Barcelona. I hate to my negative about content here but this is an actual industry plant. It’s ok to like this sort of game, but how it’s presenting itself hurts actual indie games. - real licensed music - massive array of custom assets and cutscenes, fully voiced too - insanely pricey press kits sent out to small and big CCs - presents itself as “indie”. This is not “indie”. This is a refined product that was made for millions. Most likely a medium sized team of 12-30 full time for years. This kind of low hanging fruit stealing + indie labeling hurts actual small dedicated teams of real game devs. There will be actual indie devs that miss out on awards this season because of this extremely well funded AA title masquerading as an indie.

Men who come into significant social prestige through fame or achievement (think rock/pop stars, prominent athletes, and yes, even politicians) often describe the ‘groupie experience’- women suddenly and spontaneously throwing themselves at them- as surreal to the point of disorienting. I don’t think too many women (not to be mean, but really only the bottom 10% in terms of conventional attractiveness probably have a notion of this) fully appreciate how much just ‘being invisible’ is the default quotidian male experience.

One of the ways libs have ruined culture over the last 15 years is their crusade against "depicting stereotypes," (ie, widely observed patterns of group behavior), you can't Depict A Stereotype for some reason regardless of how true it is, because that Reinforces Stereotypes, so the only choice you can make is to depict the opposite of the stereotype, which results in art that doesn't represent reality in the slightest and ultimately baffles and alienates the viewer
