The Packers released Nate Hobbs because Javon Bullard is the team's best slot CB. If they see him there long-term, that removes an entire cohort of otherwise good players from their top-100 list. Guys like Abney, Scott, Ponds, Rivers aren't good value for GB at projected ADP.

I've now watched the projected top 100 players at CB and DT. There's one guy I think is a no-doubt first-round player in that group. Green Bay is really not missing out by not having a first-round pick, at least at those positions.
