@0hour1 @jaredthowe It is treason. No one should attempt to question this. Anyone who leaks U.S. military plans or operations should be incarcerated. And if a naturalized citizen, or the recipient of any other legal status, that should be sent back to where they came from.

Someone leaked the second pilot on the ground. Trump said they are going to be put on trial and sent to prison. He said he will lock up the reporter who leaked it until they give up the source. DOD considers it treason.

Homeschool influencers make it look idyllic. Kitchen tables. Morning routines. Children reading in sunlit rooms. The grown-ups who were homeschooled are on TikTok deconstructing the isolation, the gaps, the years they can't get back.

@ianharber Because JK Rowling is a "traitor" whereas the other two have always had consistent Christian beliefs. (IMO she's consistently pro-woman and the left are the ones that changed, but I'm just saying why they hate her, not saying its a good reason)

Cancelling Harry Potter because of Rowling but remaking/doing spin offs of Narnia and LOTR despite Lewis and Tolkien being two of the most prominent Christian figures of the last century who undoubtedly share Rowling’s views she’s been cancelled for. Make it make sense.

For shits and giggles, I decided to see just how hard it would be to replace my birth certificate, Social Security card, AND my marriage license, since Democrats think women are too stupid to figure it out. Here's how it went: 1. Birth certificate: Contacted the health department of the county where I was born. They OVERNIGHTED a certified copy to me the next day - total cost, $14. 2. SS Card: Contacted Social Security on their site. They asked if I was sure I needed the card, since I 'won't likely be asked for it.' I went ahead and got it - took five business days to arrive - total cost, $0. 3. Marriage License: Went to the 'vital docs' site of the county where we were hitched. Filled everything out online, arrived in three days - total cost, $5. It cost less than $20 to obtain all three certified/legal documents, and it took less than five business days to receive them. Note: if I had lived where I was born or married, it would have been a day. Tops. Anyone telling you this is too hard or unfair is lying and hiding the real reason they want to stop Voter ID. I know you guys knew that already... lol

@banner026 @hotsoggi Ok, but like I actually did that once. I moved to a city because "I can remake myself into whoever I want to be here. I can be a hat person if I want to be." Unfortunately I still do not wear hats. But I could.

@profyancey Evangelicals can call out Talarico, while not holding Trump to the standards of a believer. Because Trump doesn't call himself a believer (and if he is he is a baby Christian at best), and Talarico claims to be not only a believer, but a pastor/leader.

@JayMallow3 Diagnosis isn’t a perfect measure of mental health, but a consistent reduction in diagnoses across party lines strongly suggests that religious participation is influencing either symptom severity, coping mechanisms, or help-seeking behavior and likely all three.

@HazelAppleyard I’d prefer a cheaper ring, as I wouldn’t feel safe with something that expensive on my finger.

I once had to reassure a (very broke) man that I adored that a £50 ring was absolutely fine and that I wanted to marry him more than I wanted an expensive ring. Sure enough he proposed with said ring, I adored it, I showed it off to everyone, and it did not matter one bit how much it cost. This relationship didn’t work out for other external reasons but at least it wasn’t because I would accept nothing less than a mined 3ct ring. He should run.

@RyanGirdusky Tell me about it. We now have electronic books, so I had to spend an entire semester making "notes", which is really writing the book again so that students can mark it up and follow along with examples, like we did with our textbooks when I was a student. We need pen and paper!!

The wildest thing about education that I’ve learned in the last six years is the superintendents and administrators are always running to the new thing when so often the old thing worked better. Writing notes is superior to typing it for children, yet they threw it away
gal debored@ckayerawlings

Some friends said they’re sending their kids to a no screens private school and I was curious how much it cost. It costs $47,200/year!!!!!!!!!!! $47,200!!!!!!! $47,200 DOLLARS

@MikeWingerii IMO if you were some rando who only criticized the church than I might say goodbye. But your hours upon hours of strong Biblical teaching combined with extraordinary humilty has given you the right to speak on these things and be listened to, even if it hurts.

Goodbye. I am about to embark on the creation of several videos that will cause many to think that I’m off base, compromised, unspiritual, attacking the church, or otherwise not worthwhile anymore. I know this is going to happen but I’m proceeding anyways. Why? Because I think that accountability for villains in church leadership is important and God honoring. It honors God to defend the victims. It honors God to expose such deeds that the church would be unleavened. It honors God to refuse to participate in or tolerate false miracles, false prophecies, false leaders, oppressive systems, “elitist leaders” cultures, and unbiblical teachings. The problem is that accountability hasn’t come from within the movements that need it. Instead, movements like IHOPKC, Bethel, Morningstar, and others have enabled such abuses and blocked proper accountability. So it falls on the wider church to speak up and protect people. For those who will say that they have been blessed by my ministry before this and now are checking out, just know that I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of God blessing you in some way. I understand that what I’m about to do can be seen as divisive, extreme, and unnecessary, especially to those who haven’t talked to the victims of such predators and false leaders. I don’t anticipate being able to convince the majority that what I’m doing is good and needful. Know that I am grateful for the chance to have ministered to you in the past and that I am doing my best to do what’s right and God-honoring in the future. When you think about it, Jeremiah and a number of OT prophets were dealing with opposition from those who basically thought they were being unnecessarily negative, divisive, and ungracious. Goodbye to those who will no longer view or support my content. I’m grateful I could help in the past and regret that this future project will inevitably result in me looking like an ungodly villain in your eyes.

@DeseretStone I give my students the ability to take a 4x6 notecard into the exam. I haven't noticed a difference in score distributions. I have noticed that my more anxious high achievers are less anxious.

I had a high school science teacher with an unusual policy The day before any major test, he would do a pre-test The pre-test was *exactly the same* as the real test, which would be the next day This was long before camera phones, and the only rule was that you could not copy the test Students had zero excuses for not knowing what would be on the test and *exactly* what to study According to him, he had years of data to compare performance between normal testing and his fully-exposed pre-test And the score distributions were effectively identical You either cared and you were ready, or you didn’t and you never would be I did well enough in the class, and while I can’t remember chemistry to save my life, I still think about that policy
James A. Furey@JamesAFurey

Similarly, I’ve eliminated all test re-takes. I used to have students, before taking the quiz, request a retake because they “didn’t have the time to study last night.” If you have a test retake policy you encourage students to pick and choose which ones they’ll work for and which they’ll put off. Absolutely no. Take the time to prepare the first time, give your best effort, and stop relying on the kindness of your teachers to help you finagle your way to a better grade. Much better lessons learned from this.
