@ThatBobMadison Pierce Brosnan failed his audition.

I can't stand John Boorman's Excalibur. Sure, it looks interesting, but the narrative is a mess and most of the performances are flat and unexciting. It's also gratuitously gory and and goes for some now-embarrassing sexual surprises. Never got to the love for it.

Pierce Brosnan has said he based Remington Steele on Cary Grant. Or at least the con man he was playing modeled himself on Cary.

@twinitisha Remington Steele was so so good! I used to watch it with my mom after I got back from college. Such happy memories!

@twinitisha I was a huge fan of Remington Steele , The lead actress was extremely lively but Pierce Brosnan was the lifeline .He had everything that made great actors even though he was playing sidekick .

Before he was Bond, Pierce Brosnan was Remington Steele, this series was quite popular in India in 90s. Good ole days of cable TV. This and X-Files were two favorite series. His Bond roles apart , Brosnan was quite a good actor. The 4th Protocol where he played the villian. Seraphim Falls a Western with Liam Neeson in a totally different persona compared to his Bond roles.

@chatlunatique8 @TheCinesthetic Remington Steele - a private detective show from the 80s. Only lasted a 2 or 3 seasons. It's funny and charming. He was not supposed to be the star, but quickly became one. It's streaming somewhere, as I went back and watched a few old episodes.
