interdimensional creature of chaos and destruction gives up being evil after seeing a kitten pspspspsps

Fifteen years ago, I left San Francisco and moved to Mexico with almost no plan. This painting was on my easel when everything collapsed. It began as a portrait of a friend as Cuauhtemoc, imagined as a Mexican wrestler. His body carries the story of the last emperor in tattoos. I was starting a series of masked wrestlers as historical figures, as a way of placing the past into the present, into living bodies. Then my life fell apart It turned out my partner of 15 years had transformed into a drug addict - a development I had did not realize until it was far too late . Within weeks, I was in Mexico, and this painting went into storage for three years. By the time I found it again, I had changed. My work had changed. I never finished it. But I no longer think it needs to be finished. The gold leaf, the raw pastel, the exposed paper, the body knocked out in the ring at life size. @dontfollowdunc I have the M.Rage Astral System's NICE bag. It holds what I deem important but I can carry: 3 decks (1 pokemon dual deck boxes and a spare deck box), my dice, my drawing tablet, a tin to protect cards I buy, and a phone battery with a little room to spare for a wallet.
