I had a productive call with the President of Romania, @NicusorDanRO. I briefed him on the current diplomatic situation and the ongoing Russian strikes. Russia continues spurning diplomacy, and we discussed what joint steps could help bring the Russians back to reality. Of course, we spoke about further defense assistance to Ukraine and our need to strengthen air defense, as well as the significance of the PURL initiative. We also covered defense cooperation – our capabilities and the systems we are ready to export to Romania, as well as the projects we can jointly implement within the SAFE instrument. We have strong potential for a partnership, and we are equally interested in its realization. I invited the President to visit Ukraine, and our teams will work on preparing the visit to ensure it delivers practical results.
