"Strong independent woman" is the loneliest brand in history. I've watched women my age chase the independent woman dream only to get to 35 with a great resume and an empty home. Nobody warned them about the Sunday nights alone. The holidays without children. The biological clock that doesn't care about your five-year plan. Career women at 35 are the most medicated demographic in America. Not conservative women. Not liberal men. Liberal career women. Why? Because they've been sold a worldview that contradicts their biology at every turn. They're told marriage is oppression, but they crave companionship. They're told children hold them back, but their maternal instinct doesn't go away just because they ignore it. The women I know who are genuinely happiest are not the most independent. They're the most loved. Stop chasing independence. Start chasing something worth being dependent on.

When she goes to events, you demand she stays home. When she stays home, you question her motives. Whether she laughs, cries, or shows anger, it’s always too much or not enough. Erika’s not only ruthlessly condemned, she’s relentlessly mocked as if she’s not a real person navigating massive loss. Yes, she’s a public figure, and as such she will receive critiques and questions. Contempt prior to investigation That was my pre-Catholic attitude. I judged Catholicism based on what I learned about it from non-Catholics, particularly Protestants When I dropped the prejudice, opened my mind and investigated for myself, I saw how wrong that I, who had thought so highly of my intellect up to that point, really was It was humbling. It was liberating. I realized how beautiful, deep and rich the Catholic faith is and how small but yet loved I am And now, life with the sacraments brings me a peace I could never before imagine I wish everyone could experience this

Please pray for me. Because of my sin, I will likely be unable to recieve confession this week for Easter. Have mercy on me Lord. My sin has cost me my communion and I am suffering because of it. I can’t make an appointment because churches around me refuse to answer the phone.

The Catholic priest at the church I had been attending just emailed me. He said he is still willing to work with me toward full communion. He has found a sponsor for me named Tom, and he wants to see consistency from me before moving forward. The original plan was for the Easter Vigil, but with less than two weeks left, that is no longer realistic. He now wants to aim for Pentecost Sunday as the target date for me to enter full communion and receive the sacraments. This message came out of the blue, and I am praying seriously about whether I truly want to do this.
