@OscarHvala @maicononze11 @JennyWakefiel12 Why would someone who isn't a Christian be baptized? It's clear he only met Jesus on the cross (Without water baptism of the theif the whole Roman Catholic theology falls apart I get it)

@Raven_Fighter @MrCasey62 Our initial justification is not a get out of jail card. Faith alone is a very dangerous teaching. I doubt most Protestants truly subscribe to it. Think of all the protestants praying for each other and going on missions. They want to give thanks to God for His Grace.

Without the lies, Protestantism dies. He tries to cover himself with the word “essentially” because even HE knows he can’t show ANYWHERE that the Catholic Church has ever taught this.

John 21:15-17 [15] So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Tend My lambs.” [16] He *said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.” [17] He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep"

@Raven_Fighter @MrCasey62 We believe you have to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. We believe we are to carry our cross and follow Christ daily. We don’t reduce salvation to a transactional one time event.

@PhantomForce_35 @ARoden5410 @GeoChonker "who was the first pope" an office invented by the RCC reads themselves into the text and makes it Peter. Nowhere in scripture did Jesus make Peter the lead apostle and nowhere in scripture does it state 'the pope" has universal authority over the whole body of Christ

@Raven_Fighter @ARoden5410 @GeoChonker Tell me. Where did Peter die? Who was the first pope of the Catholic Church? Why would Jesus say that if He knew the Roman Catholic Church would use His words as proof of origin? Is Jesus in the wrong here? See how flawed that line of thinking is?There’s so many questions

@Raven_Fighter @CatholicDrip___ Never seen this scripture i have been through it several times. We are all called to be part of the Church and to evangelize. But in the o.t. only levites were priest. In the N.T. only the Apostles and their successors. Sounds like a protestant rewrite to me ...reference?

@ARoden5410 @GeoChonker I can’t speak on another person’s salvation with certainly (unless they’re a canonized/unknown saint) so I can’t answer that question. Pray to God and maybe He’ll tell you.

@JeffJam6080 @MrCasey62 Technically yes all of our sins are forgiven when we place our faith in Christ. HOWEVER we should try to live Christ honoring lives and not sin

@Cinaboncrusader @MrCasey62 *Misunderstanding* is where we (Protestants) disagree. 1. demons beleive Jesus exist not in salvation. True Christians have faith that Jesus died for their sins not simply that he existed. 2. In remembrance 3. prayer doesn't save faith does 4. keeping the law doesn't save

@CatechismTony @MrCasey62 No but it doesn't have to because scripture makes it clear Jesus paid for all sins past, present and future. Salvation and justification is a 1 time event when a believer puts their faith in Christ alone.
