@trevormartins11 my only thought was "I guess my 85 year old Mum won't be watching hockey ever again." Mum isn't a big enough fan to justify the channel rental. She enjoyed the Stanley Cup this year. I feel for the shut-ins who can't afford the channel.

HNIC hasn't had the same soul for a long time. Today's news hardly registers for me. The good old days of sitting on the couch and throwing it on Channel 3 on a Saturday night have been gone for years. It's been the same generic stuff for 12 years plus now.

I genuinely don't think it's rigged. As an owner could you imagine spending hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars on a team only to be told "by the way this integral part of our system is rigged" The Canucks are just chronically unlucky. They're the saddest franchise in NHL history and will remain as such for the near future.
