I hate on MLS because I do not believe those players should be on USMNT and I think it’s problematic that USSF give MLS players undeserved call-ups in order to prop up the league.

Owner basically got a loan from the city to update a 100 year old stadium and turned it into one of the best home venues in American soccer.

Local, community connection to the club.

In the early 2000s, MLS nearly failed, another in the long line of failed leagues/clubs. We had virtually zero professional development or basic soccer infra.
Now? 30 clubs w/ acadmies, free to play. 25+ soccer specific stadiums.
