@NobletStrength Right wing twitter is just totally lost today. On the one hand, they need to justify Trump gloating about Mueller's death, but get upset when kids... my god.... have fun during spring break.

My biggest takeaway from this video is that if you believe this is significant in any way whatsoever to the current American political situation you're an idiot. This is just random drunk kids trying to have fun and a random jackass asking them questions.
Jesse Watters@JesseBWatters

Spring Break goes WILD☀️ 🍺🤪 and the students have NO IDEA what’s going on🤣 “The BIGGEST issue in America is what BIKINI I’m wearing tomorrow”👙 “We’re going to war with IRAQ that’s been crazy”🤔 “I’ve NEVER heard the word Ayatollah in my life”🫢 “Is Venezuela in SPAIN?”😬😬😬

@rdeeeez @NoahRiffe Yes, Berhalter played so poorly against Uruguay.... Roldan, again, just horrendous against Australia and Paraguay. What I need more of? Performances like Johnny against Colombia, Turkey, or Switzerland...

@NoahRiffe Do you never watch when the mls players come onto the field? It’s never positive. It always a poor performance.

@MLShater Comments on here make me convinced you're just engagement farming or satirical. Literally no one interested in this sport can be as bad at understanding the basics or evaluating talent.

Our culture is decaying right before our very eyes. Getting drunk - Normalized. Hooking up with strangers- Normalized. Doing hard drugs - Normalized. Immodesty - Normalized. Christ have mercy on us, sinners.

@TheSoccerRant @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ My club was a 2nd division one playing in a baseball stadium averaging about 8500 fans a game. Owner basically got a loan from the city to update a 100 year old stadium and turned it into one of the best home venues in American soccer. You come off as EXTREMELY ignorant.

@SkyPointSteve @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ I would actually rather support a local team where it grows organically. But US soccer chose the quick & easy path with MLS to establish beautiful stadiums, while gatekeeping on who can participate. You really come off insecure.

@TheSoccerRant @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ What you seem to be saying it that, "MLS isn't interesting if it's not a top 4 league minimum" and boy, if that's your bar for a 30-year old league in a country with major competition for sporting attention, sad. Just sad. No league has grown faster, quality wise, than MLS.

@TheSoccerRant @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ MLS' story is about as compelling as a mid-table club in a mid-tier European league. If I lived in Portsmouth, and I supported Manchester United, that would make me a glory hunter in search of "the best". If I lived in Portland, and didn't support the Timbers, plastic as fuck.

@TheSoccerRant @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ As someone that has been attending MLS games far before I had a "home team", yes, having gorgeous stadiums designed for soccer with local kids coming thru the academy is a reason to watch it. Local, community connection to the club. It's ours, and it's rapidly improving.

@KarpetPilot @_bengelo_ @giant_birds You are. Beyond the part that Ligue 1 doesn't define the French NT, that JPL doesn't define the Belgians, that Eredivisie doesn't illustrate how defensively sound Netherlands were in 2022, MLS is 30 years old. These leagues and cultures are 100+ years old. Get the context?

@SkyPointSteve @_bengelo_ @giant_birds I ain't pivoting. La Liga has an identity that covers the ball. The Italian league used to have an identity that revered defenses. Thanks to Clairefontaine, France has an identity that is also technical somewhat independent of Ligue 1. What is the MLS identity?

@SoccerPrime Would you? Until USL and their Private Equity (vulture) backers announce rev share, why would any club take on: 100% of the risk. 0% of expansion fee revenue. 0% of national sponsorship revenue. 50% of revenue, USL takes for league fees. Meanwhile, MLS is full rev share.

@KarpetPilot @_bengelo_ @giant_birds The reality of the American identity is... it's changing. It used to be hard nosed, run a lot, play good defensive football, win 50/50s, every once in awhile get lucky against a top team. It's changing. Why? Because MLS is producing a MUCH higher level of technical player.

@cloudklout @206_casual @xTave24 @_bengelo_ Meanwhile, cute you're ignoring the other major comment you made, which is quite possible the dumbest thing I've heard: MLS is harming youth soccer. The facts are clear, USA has never had a higher level of youth development and it's ENTIRELY down to MLS mandating F2P academies.

@SkyPointSteve @206_casual @xTave24 @_bengelo_ You’ve just explained it perfectly? The USL is taking the necessary baby-steps towards establishing something that I would be proud to call “American Soccer” (a real competitive Div I league rivaling the MLS in spending but with Pro/Rel which more or less forces sane decisions).

@cloudklout @206_casual @xTave24 @_bengelo_ It's not, tho. It's taking baby steps towards extracting expansion fees out of sucker ownership groups to line the pockets of their 2 Private Equity backers. No clubs announced. No structure announced. It'll be financial promotion based on meeting PSR, not merit based.

🔥🚨BREAKING: Myron Gaines is going viral for exposing the entire Netflix corporation and Louis Theroux with a 50 minute side by side YouTube video for editing his new Netflix documentary “Manosphere” in an attempt to make Myron look terrible. Netflix even went as far as editing out footage of their staff forcing Myron’s ex Angie to leave the studio to make it appear as if Myron demanded for her to exit. This is what mainstream media does, their goal is to destroy authenticity and claim they hold the power over validating what authentic is. They got caught red handed.

@cloudklout @206_casual @xTave24 @_bengelo_ Please explain how USL (which is a vehicle to line the pockets of Private Equity backers and has virtually zero F2P academy systems, currently) is a competing league? Because they've announced the vague framework for Pro/Rel that supposedly starts in 2028, with no firm details?

@206_casual @xTave24 @_bengelo_ I do sport my local club (was physically in attendance last night at the game), just not the MLS as I prefer the USL (a competing league)

@cloudklout @_bengelo_ Destroys the game for the youth?!? MLS has done more for youth development in America than any other entity. You realize MLS forced ALL owners to build free to play academy systems, and there's been 100s of millions invested by ownership groups, correct? This is a fact.

@_bengelo_ I am an Anti-MLS American who supports Atletico Madrid and also was in attendance at the USL Brooklyn FC match last night on Coney Island. Maybe some people have legitimate issues with how horribly the MLS conducts its business and completely destroys the game for the youth.

@TheSoccerRant @DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ Want a good story? In the early 2000s, MLS nearly failed, another in the long line of failed leagues/clubs. We had virtually zero professional development or basic soccer infra. Now? 30 clubs w/ acadmies, free to play. 25+ soccer specific stadiums. Pretty fucking cool.

@DavidDayOk @_bengelo_ So? If I spend $40 million on a business does that mean I'm owed something? At least Rob & Ryan's gimmick offers a good story. What's MLS' story? Is it compelling?
