I really like how Real Madrid moves with their academy stars, sell with buy back clause. Just do it, I think it benefits you in the long run

I think we should send Guiu on loan and have him reclaim some of that lost value, still young. We’ve handled loan recalls horribly with Sarr, Anselmino.
Jehmy@jehmyE

🚨🔵 Marc Guiu's career took an unfair hit because Nicolas Jackson refused to get on a plane back to Chelsea after Delap's injury. It all traces back to last September. Liam Delap went down with a hamstring injury against Fulham, right as Jackson had just landed in Munich for a medical, on the verge of completing a loan move to Bayern. Chelsea's instinct was to pull Jackson straight back to London as emergency injury cover instead. Jackson wasn't having it. His agent, Diomansy Kamara, went public with the now-famous line: "The plane doesn't go backwards... Munich." Jackson simply refused to return. With Jackson digging in and Chelsea needing a striker fast, they explored other routes, an approach for Sporting's Conrad Harder went nowhere as he chose RB Leipzig instead, leaving Chelsea with one real option left: recall Marc Guiu from his Sunderland loan. Guiu had only just arrived on Wearside with real excitement, playing three games and scoring in the Carabao Cup before the recall cut his spell short after barely three weeks. Chelsea and Sunderland had no recall clause in the deal, but their relationship allowed a termination agreement anyway. Guiu came back to a role as backup, managed limited minutes across the rest of the season, and has struggled to force his way into Alonso's plans since. The kicker: Bayern eventually improved their offer and got Jackson anyway, just weeks after Guiu had already been yanked back to Chelsea for a move that ultimately still happened. Guiu's momentum was sacrificed for a transfer saga that resolved itself regardless. Did Jackson's stand-off genuinely derail a promising young striker's development for nothing?

Idk about Nico Jackson, he’s better than Delap. If Xabi wants to give him a chance so be it, I think it’s best to sell him and allocate all that cash. This kid Emegha though, I think he might be much better than people think, especially as ST2.
JnR@CFCJnR

Emegha and Estevao are boys already.

@ManagerTactical Agreed, I still like McKinney and think he’d age good for the next run. Also think that generation will be vital for some Veteran presence like Antonee, Adams, etc.

If you want to take 1 big positive for the USMNT 🇺🇸 this World Cup is that it’s now crystal clear of who you build around. It’s Balogun, Tillman and Richards. The “Pulisic generation” can and will still help but they have to be the ones who support those 3, they are no longer the main characters. Those 3 are the key players for 2030.

@tortataaa @CFCJnR Just fans that use their brains for recency bias then when shit goes wrong “this is why we should’ve signed a veteran like Lacroix”

I was not a fan of selling Cucurella, but he wanted to go. That is what it is at that point, he’s an insane 1v1 defender at the end of the day. Guys like Nuno Mendes & Cucurella are insane, I just hope Hato can one day be that good and we can find someone to do that now.

Maxence Lacroix did nothing in that game to change my mind about him. He’s a player who instantly upgrades the CB position. Please, Chelsea. BACK Xabi Alonso and sign him.

Lacroix - He was not as bad as people make him out to be, you have a year of Prem tape & he started earlier games in the tourney. You absolutely still go for him, he is experienced, he is good, he may not be WORLD CLASS but he brings a lot that we lack.

Regarding the France team: Mike Maignan - I would still make this my priority GK, loan Penders. Sell Jorgenson & Sanchez, keep one of the U23 GKs around as second. Penders is too good to keep as a GK2, he needs to go on a loan. Gusto - keep, if you can sell him for 75M sure.

@breezy_345 You absolutely can, but he was not as bad as people are making out. When Spain went up 2-0 they started pressing aggressively, all of France was bad. Olise, Dembele were shit, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t take them on Chelsea, also we have LaCroix starting earlier in the tourney too
