@tomhaberstroh , @getnickwright , @Chris_Broussard , @Jumpman23, @chicagobulls, @stephenasmith, @RealSkipBayless, @FOXSports, @espn, @undisputed I've always been a big stat nerd and a historian. I love significant fact-finding and digging into the data/stats. But we MUST look at the data in its entirety, not just share the data that helps drive home a narrative we believe. What was left out in this argument (No denying inaccurate stats) is that the Chicago Bulls allowed the fewest points per game in 1988 by roughly 2 points per game (3rd lowest 3 point % allowed and 5th in overall FG% allowed). So, regardless of Steals/Blocks, Michael Jordan was the best player on the team that ALLOWED the fewest points per game, and unless we are questioning the points per game scored and allowed, his Defensive Player of the Year award, IMO, was still earned. I don't believe awards were given purely on steals/blocks, but maybe that's the case, and I missed the memo...

@emanuelgodina @Jacobtheclipper Guess we all learned something new today. If you didn’t watch it live you can’t grade or critique it. I wonder how college professors grade projects that were done at home….. LOL

@Jacobtheclipper Question for “MJ fans” How can someone who’s never saw MJ live on tv think he’s the greatest of all time?

All 6 games I have found and I have ordered them ✅ Part of me LOVES the fact that this nonsense article came out. It forced me to hunt down young Mike’s full game videos and watch them. I wasn’t alive during Mike’s first half of his career, I have only watched a handful of his full games pre 1990. Sadly I only got to witness his second half dominance in real time. One thing I have noticed so far, young Mike’s speed and defensive tenacity on the wing is UNMATCHED. This dude should have won multiple DPOY 😮 Sneak peak from the Hawks game 👇

I also mentioned and clearly stated, "Who deserves the Defensive Player of the Year Award is subjective, so I RESPECT your opinion if you think he didn't." You got off topic in calling me a follower when I actually said YOUR opinion of who won the reward is respected. If steals and blocks mean a person deserves the award for YOU, then you are right; it's fair to question him winning. But the NBA doesn't award it based on stats. Based on the NBA's process, steals and blocks are not mentioned.

It was. It called into question his Defensive Player of the Year trophy. You tell me. What does the first line of this report say? "1988 DPOY award raises questions about its validity." That award is not given based on block and steal stats. You just told on yourself because I never said MJ was the GOAT. LOL, "MJ acolytes." Again, please tell me how I'm a MJ follower. The Celtics are my favorite team, and I've never once mentioned Jordan's all-time ranking OR him being better than anybody. He's not even my favorite player, LOL. Nice try, though, man. You also didn't READ my first post, where I CLEARLY said (NO DENYING INNACURATE STATS)

I am aware of the yahoo article that was recently published to try to tear down Michael Jordan. I will have to do some research to give a proper response. But I find it COMICAL how LeBron and Klutch has hired minions in the media to go back 30 years to try to tear down Jordan and his legacy. Just shows how hes the true GOAT. If you have entire groups of people trying to do ANYTHING they can to lower Mike’s greatness 🤣 I wonder what Bron’s stats would be if they actually only allowed him to take only two steps and not charge into defenders’ chest nonstop 🤔

@KFCBarstool I posted this a little bit ago. The Jordan haters have to complete their argument. They left out the Bull's defensive rankings that season. (Lowest points per game, 3rd best in 3pt % and 5th best overall FG% allowed)

If you’re running around the internet today talking about 4 steals from a 1988 game against the Nets to try to discredit Michael Jordan’s career, you gotta work on your arguments

I just checked the stats. In 25 Career games against Holiday/White (15 Holiday/10 White), he's averaging 19.68 points per game; his career points per game are 17.5, so he's about 10% higher. It doesn't sound like "Murder," but he's had some good games against them. Hopefully, we'll get to find out in the finals next year! :)

"There was a game they credited Jordan w/ more steals than the other team had turnovers. Might put a different hue on the GOAT conversation. ... I'm just here for a fair & accurate reading of NBA history." 👀 —@getnickwright reacts to Haberstroh's article on MJ's 1988 DPOY award

@CelticsUnite18 @gnavas103 Big FACTS: A Game 7 loss a year ago somehow erases historical data, plus the fact that the Celtics actually have a CHAMPIONSHIP over the last 5 years... Sorry, Miami...
