He was already suspended without pay since June 2022 (vaccine mandate + Jan 6 concerns) and never reinstated. He remains a full-time whistleblower/podcaster (e.g., his show) and did not return to the FBI. The five employees fired today were involved in drafting/approving the original memo—not the whistleblower who exposed it.
