Since the Renewable Fuels Standard was implemented in 2007, the number of corn acres planted in the U.S. has not increased. During that same period, yields have risen by nearly 20%. Every kernel of corn can produce both ethanol from the starch and quality feed from the high-protein distillers grains. America’s world-class producers are able to provide food AND fuel without sacrificing either.

Unfortunately, misinformation has fueled opposition to nationwide E15 for far too long. Today, I joined a bipartisan group of colleagues to set the record straight on how year-round E15 lowers fuel costs, expands consumer choice, and strengthens American energy independence.

Great to see @GovKathyHochul opt New York into my Federal Scholarship Tax Credit starting next year. Every student—public, private, or homeschool—deserves access to a quality education, and this opportunity comes at no cost to state governments whose governors choose to participate.
Wall Street Journal Opinion@WSJopinion

New York is the second blue state to opt in to a federal scholarship program promoting school choice. There’s no good reason for states not to join. on.wsj.com/3OTWUQP

.@BasedMikeLee, I agree — Americans should be able to CHOOSE whether they want to save money at the pump by fueling up with E15 year-round. We both know my Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act is NOT a government mandate. Let's stick to the facts.
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee

Ethanol mandates suck. American consumers should be free to decide whether to put corn in their gas tanks. Would you prefer to make that decision yourself—rather than having it made for you by Congress?

Nebraskans, as you recover from the largest wildfire in our state’s history, know your federal delegation stands ready to help. Today, we sent a letter to @POTUS supporting @TeamPillen’s major disaster declaration request to ensure that you have access to the resources you need.

Great conversation with Chadron-area residents about the future of their community and the opportunities ahead. We talked about supporting the local economy, lowering barriers to education and trade schools, and ensuring the next generation has the tools they need to succeed.

Spring in Nebraska means long days, early mornings, and hard work for our ag producers. Last week, the House passed our long overdue Farm Bill to provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Learn more in my column this week ⬇️ share.google/iGocdlTBEGC5BH…

"Getting so close" — @SecRollins once again called on Congress to answer the President's call for year-round E15. More access to American biofuels means stronger markets for farmers, more choices at the pump, and greater savings for consumers.

More misinformation: year-round E15 is NOT A MANDATE. It allows retailers to sell more affordable fuel options all year. It’s extremely simple - a vote for E15 is a vote for lower fuel prices.
Freedom Caucus Foundation@FreedomCaucusF

Expanding E15 (15% corn fuel) can increase demand for corn and require costly infrastructure upgrades -- factors that contribute to higher gas prices. More mandates. More cost at the pump.

I voted for this year's Farm Bill to provide regulatory relief, expand market access, and equip Nebraska’s ag producers with the resources they need to succeed. But let me be clear: I will not rest until nationwide, year-round E15 is a reality once and for all. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues and House Leadership as we prepare to bring E15 to the floor.

This is welcome news for Lexington and all who were impacted by the sudden closure of the Tyson facility. I will continue to work with city officials, as well as Tyson, to ensure that this plan comes to fruition in a way that strengthens Lexington’s economic foundation, attracts new investment, and creates sustainable opportunities for long-term growth. ruralradio.com/krvn/news/city…
