Yesterday Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan schools were closed due to threats of violence. Today, the entire South Saint Paul school district is closed for the same reason. I am grateful to local law enforcement for responding swiftly and ensuring our students’ safety.
This is a disturbing uptick in violent threats in our schools. Minnesota’s kids, parents and teachers deserve better.

I introduced the Farm and Family Relief Act to delay the cost shift to states by 4 years. My Republican colleagues called it "silly."
They think it's silly to provide states and counties breathing room to respond to this inconsistent and irresponsible decision made by this admin.

All Crew Members of U.S. KC-135 Loss in Iraq Confirmed Deceased TAMPA, Fla. – All six crew members aboard a U.S. KC-135 refueling aircraft that went down in western Iraq are now confirmed deceased. The aircraft was lost while flying over friendly airspace March 12 during Operation Epic Fury. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. However, the loss of the aircraft was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire. The identities of the service members are being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.
