3 years ago Illinois banned assault weapons, high capacity magazines, and rapid-fire devices. Illinois is undeniably safer - we have had fewer mass shootings and less gun violence. We will keep making progress, and won’t let the gun industry dictate the safety of our state.👊💪

Nurses are on the front lines and are truly the backbone of our healthcare system. Taking the time to listen to their concerns and advocate for their needs will always be a top priority of mine. A big thank you to all of our nurses for the incredible work they do! (2/2)

In this moment of historically high antisemitism and normalized Jewish-focused hate crimes, the ADL has infinite work to do as we say goodby to Abe. The ADL doesn’t always get it right, & there were several major decisions over that years that where I disagreed with Abe Foxman.

I will always be indebted to the @ADL, and Abe Foxman. The organization was there for me when I had nowhere else to turn, and learning that Abe had passed away took me back in time. This is my ADL origin story. 🧵

What keeps me up at night is the exponential rise of antisemitism that awaits my Jewish children. As @GovPritzker said, we must push back and fight antisemitism, bigotry and hate in all its forms.
