Today, the House honored the six servicemembers who were killed in an air refueling crash in Iraq last week, including three who served in the Ohio Air National Guard. Capt. Seth R. Koval, Capt. Curtis J. Angst, and Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons served in the 121st Air Refueling Wing. Their deaths are devastating blows to our state.   I will continue to hold these brave men and their loved ones in my prayers, and I will always be thankful for their service to this country. While we can never repay the debt we owe them for their sacrifice, we must always honor their memory.

Today, I went over funding requests for projects across OH-14 with my staff. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I will fight to get as many of these critical priorities in our FY27 bills as possible. We had a very successful FY26, delivering over $66 million in CPF funding to the district, and we are looking forward to building on that important work in FY27.

Attention all student artists in OH-14. My office is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition, and I am excited to see all the amazing talent on display this year.

Kelly and I are heartbroken by the deaths of six Air National Guard service members during an air refueling mission in Iraq. Three of these service members were Ohioans serving with the Ohio Air National Guard’s 121st Air Refueling Wing. My thoughts and prayers are with their families during this incredibly difficult time. We will never forget their dedication and sacrifice for our country.

Despite TSA agents missing paychecks and security lines stretching for hours, Senate Democrats refuse to fund @DHSgov. We cannot play political games while our homeland security and American citizens are paying the price.

I am appalled by the attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan. We must unequivocally condemn the rising threats and violence against the Jewish community and make clear that antisemitism has no place in this country. Thank you to the law enforcement who responded quickly to the scene.

The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District provides clean water to over 220,000 residents in the Mahoning Valley. I toured their facility and discussed their dam rehabilitation project, which will secure the area's water supply for the future.

Meeting with local officials is a critical part of my job in Congress. I was happy to meet with Portage County Commissioner Jill Crawford and Treasurer Joe Bica to discuss how we can continue to work together to deliver results for the county.

Congrats to Aurora’s own Sarah Powlison for being recognized for her advocacy for neurofibromatosis (NF) awareness. Sarah recently met with my office to discuss her work and promote NF research.

It was a pleasure to meet with Conneaut City Manager Nick Sanford. We discussed the issues facing Conneaut and explored ways to drive more federal funding back to the city.

Today, I toured Viega’s new facility in Mantua, Ohio, which has brought 60 new jobs to the area. As Co-Chair of the House Manufacturing Caucus, I’ll continue to support the industry and promote its economic impact in Northeast Ohio.

Happy to speak at the Lake County Development Council’s Legislative Breakfast this morning. It’s always a pleasure to meet with local officials and stakeholders to discuss economic development and other top priorities for Northeast Ohio.

Last night, I voted to reopen the Department of Homeland Security and deliver full funding to the Coast Guard, FEMA, TSA, and other critical agencies. With threats abroad still real, the safety and security of the American people need to be Congress's top priority.

Today, we celebrate the economic, environmental, and cultural impact the Great Lakes have on so many communities across the country. As Co-Chair of the Great Lakes Task Force, I will always fight in Congress to protect and conserve these natural wonders for future generations.
