Even the Democrats know that their DANGEROUS shutdown of DHS is causing REAL HARM for the American people. They ADMIT that their shutdown is “not forcing any change," and “we're making people hurt.” It’s a disgusting, reckless political stunt. Democrats must stop putting Americans LAST.

“How are we going to feed our kids?” Democrats are forcing TSA officers to work without pay for the second time in six months. It’s cruel, and it doesn’t have to be this way.

Democrats have voted against or blocked funding for the Department of Homeland Security eleven times. Meanwhile, airports are in chaos and terror threats are on the rise.

We owe it to the American people and to the hardworking men and women of DHS who raised their hand to protect our country to sit down, have a conversation, and find a pathway forward. I remain committed to fully funding DHS and ending Democrats’ shutdown.

One of the most impactful days in D.C. is Native American Witness Day in the Interior Appropriations Subcommittee. It’s an opportunity for tribes in Montana and across the nation to come to Washington and advocate for their priorities before Congress. They know they have my support, from the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Program to tackling the opioid crisis on their lands, and I’ll keep fighting to make sure their voices are heard.

The left is ‘very serene’ while holding America hostage. TSA agents are missing paychecks, FEMA first responder trainings are canceled, and critical homeland security operations are stalled. National security isn’t a game, and the American people are paying the price. Stop this stupid shutdown!
