Passing The Working Families Tax Cut Act was a critical first step to updating the farm safety net to reflect the needs of farmers today. I know Oklahoma farmers are looking forward to seeing updated reference prices and a strengthened farm safety actualized in farm country this fall.

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of John Groendyke. As the Chairman and CEO of Groendyke Transport, the longest-serving commissioner on Oklahoma’s Department of Wildlife Conservation in history, and a trustee of Oklahoma State University, he will be remembered as a successful businessman, stedfast advocate of conservation, and pillar of the Enid community. My prayers are with his wife, Virginia, and the rest of his family.
