Last week six members of the United States Air Force lost their lives serving our nation while deployed in the Middle East supporting Operation Epic Fury. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of each member of the KC-135 crew. Maj. John “Alex” Klinner, Capt. Seth Koval, Capt. Curtis Angst, Capt. Ariana Savino, Tech Sgt. Tyler Simmons, and Tech Sgt. Ashley Pruitt all spent time during their training at Altus Air Force Base in our great state. Maj. Klinner recently graduated from Oklahoma State University’s College of Business. Our service members, across all branches, bear a responsibility of duty many of us will never understand. I am thankful for their daily sacrifice and may each of these heroes rest in peace.

The House Ag Committee took a big step this week in passing the next Farm Bill out of committee. Now let's get this signed into law!

Senator Mullin has proven to be an effective legislator and communicator in the United States Senate. So while this appointment will surely be a loss for those of us in Congress, I can’t imagine a more hands on and management oriented ally of the President to serve as DHS Secretary. Tackling the issue of immigration is a priority of this Administration, and I’m confident Senator Mullin is the right man for the job.

If this notification is triggered, my bill states that it is U.S. policy to exclude Chinese representatives from key international organizations such as the G20, the Financial Stability Board, and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. This bill sends a clear message, if China intends to engage in conflict with Taiwan, then China should be prepared to withstand the consequences.” 📺⬇️

Great to have @ORWA_OK in DC this week. We’re making sure critical technical assistance programs – like the Circuit Rider Program at USDA – are included in the next Farm Bill. This isn’t just beneficial to Oklahoma, but to communities across the country.

A narrow, targeted expansion to deposit insurance would strengthen financial stability in the banking system and bolster Main Street. @SecScottBessent: "It would permit small and community banks to continue competing, it would get credit to our Main Street, and it would stem deposit flight during a period of stress, which is one of the biggest threats to financial stability."

Kevin Warsh is the right pick for Fed Chair. Having previously served on the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, Mr. Warsh has seen firsthand how to build consensus during times of crisis, both at the Board and the FOMC. As an expert economist, Mr. Warsh will work well with Vice Chair Bowman on the work she's already begun in right-sizing bank regulation and ensuring capital access across the country. Mr. Warsh’s work at the Fed, in the private sector, and in the executive branch, make him more than qualified to lead the Board as our banking industry undergoes tremendous innovation. As Chairman of the Task Force on Monetary Policy, Treasury Market Resilience, and Economic Prosperity, I look forward to working alongside him to bolster the American economy.
