American science is losing its edge because we don’t take the bold bets necessary for modern breakthroughs. Spoke with @NIHDirector_Jay about new opportunities to accelerate scientific innovation:

What we need now is for both chambers to come together to further enhance this bill and pass a deal that comprehensively makes it easier to build in America again. Our families are counting on us to get this right.

Since then, we’ve grown to more than 40 members and have been working around the clock and across the aisle to get a housing deal across the finish line. And despite these concerns, I’m optimistic that a final deal is within reach.

We’re incredibly close to passing the biggest housing reform bill in half a century and delivering long-lasting solutions to one of the biggest pocketbook issues facing our families. Let’s not fumble on the five yard line. 🧵
