Update from President Donald J. Trump

Alabama House Speaker @RepLedbetter is especially proud of how much people in his state will save on taxes because of the historic cuts he was able to get through in the 2026 session. “If I were to say, my most proud, it’s got to be the tax cuts,” Ledbetter said on “The Rightside” with Allison Sinclair and Amie Beth Shaver Wednesday. “I mean, never before is Alabamian seen the tune of $1.5 billion cut in taxes.” Read more here: yellowhammernews.com/ledbetter-call… #Alabama #ALPolitics #Taxes #Economy

The Alabama Citizens Action Program (ALCAP), a group that represents close to 3,500 churches as Moral Advocates in the state, is lauding the work of Republicans in the Legislature for passing bills that reflect the Christian values of the Yellowhammer State. During the final days of the 2026 legislative session, lawmakers passed a piece of legislation that requires schools to display the Ten Commandments, and another piece of the legislation that requires abstinence only teaching, also called “sexual risk avoidance,” instead of comprehensive sex education. Rev. Greg Davis, President and Chief Executive Officer of ALCAP, discussed the issue Friday on @Rightside_Media with @ASinclairAL and @ABShaver, presented by @YHN. The Alabama Policy Institute on Monday declared the 2026 regular session its most productive on record. In a news release, @AlabamaPolicy President and CEO Stephanie Smith announced that 29 of the 30 proposals in its 2026 BluePrint for Alabama were enacted into law. “This session, we moved the needle significantly,” Smith said. “The legislative body embraced our BluePrint ideas to provide full funding for education freedom, increase fiscal and ideological accountability in higher education, and return the Ten Commandments, prayer, and patriotism to public schools.” Read more here: yellowhammernews.com/alabama-lawmak… #Alabama #ALPolitics #GOP #Policy #Conservative #Government #Law
