Kansas agriculture is at its best when innovation leads to new opportunities for our farmers and ranchers. Congratulations to the entire PureField Ingredients team on their ribbon-cutting in Russell. It was an honor to be invited to celebrate an investment that will strengthen American energy, expand value-added agriculture, and support rural Kansas.

I feel grateful every day to represent the heart of America here in Kansas. After spending the last few days visiting with Kansans in Russell, Hays, Abilene, and other communities across the Big First, our family got to spend last night at the Central Kansas Free Fair supporting the 4-H and FFA members who represent the future of Kansas agriculture. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and taking advantage of the county fairs, rodeos, and hometown celebrations across our state.

As we celebrate America's 250th, there's no better time to invest in teaching the next generation about the leaders who shaped our nation. Great to visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and see the progress on the new Eisenhower Education Center in Abilene. There is a lot to be excited about in the Big First!

Your community is safer when America enforces the law and stops excusing crime. Under the leadership of @POTUS and Congressional Republicans, violent criminals are finally staying behind bars.

Happy National Corn Month! Thank you to the farmers around the Big First who help feed our families, fuel our cars, and strengthen our economy. It's time to get year-round E15 across the finish line in the Senate to expand demand for Kansas corn and provide consumers another choice at the pump.

It was a pleasure to meet with Kansas FFA State Officers in Washington, DC. We discussed the importance of Career and Technical Education and how these programs prepare students with the skills needed to strengthen our workforce and rural communities. Thank you to these young leaders for their dedication to shaping the future of agriculture.

Americans deserve to know their elected officials are serving the public, not their own portfolios. I cosponsored and voted for the Stop Insider Trading Act, which prohibits Members of Congress, their spouses, and their dependent children from purchasing publicly traded stocks.

Today, @HouseGOP passed the Fiscal Year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, which invests in our national defense and the men and women who serve and protect us. This legislation strengthens our military readiness, revitalizes our defense capabilities, gives our troops a pay raise, and cuts over $30 billion in wasteful programs.

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Senator Bob Dole on what would have been his 103rd birthday. A proud Kansan, decorated World War II veteran, and lifelong public servant, Bob devoted his life to serving others and strengthening our nation. His example continues to inspire us. Happy Birthday, Senator Dole.

In 2024, the wide-open southern border was the defining issue leading up to the election. Today, we have the most secure border in American history because President Trump and @HouseGOP made border security a top priority. Promises made, promises kept.

America is the strongest nation in the world because we've never had to depend on another country to sustain us. For generations, our farmers and ranchers have worked tirelessly to feed, fuel, and clothe our nation while strengthening our economy and rural communities. We know that America is stronger when our agricultural producers thrive.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Lucky Kidd, a trusted voice in Hutchinson and communities across central Kansas. I always appreciated the opportunity to join Lucky on air and discuss the issues facing the Big First. My prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone at @AdAstraRadio.

This week, we passed the Water Resources Development Act of 2026 out of @TransportGOP committee. This bipartisan legislation will strengthen our nation's water infrastructure, improve flood control, support our inland waterways, and help ensure communities across the Big First have the resources they need to grow and prosper.

70 years ago, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a proud son of Abilene, Kansas, signed the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956. His vision for the Interstate Highway System transformed America, strengthening our economy, improving our national security, and connecting communities for generations.

I had a great time at the Kansas Society dinner hearing from our fellow elected officials and, most importantly, celebrating Kansan of the Year Mark Nutsch. Mark has dedicated his life to serving others, defending America, and representing Kansas with honor on the front lines of the fight for freedom. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your service to our country.
