Kansas farmers help fuel the world, and year-round E15 is a vital part of that future. Permanent access to E15 provides certainty for producers, supports domestic energy, and gives Americans more affordable options at the pump. This is commonsense policy that is good for Kansas and the entire country.

National Police Week is a time to honor the brave law enforcement officers across our nation who wear the badge and risk their lives each day to serve and protect our communities. We remember fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty—especially Sergeant Scott Heimann and Undersheriff Brandon Gaede from the Big First—by honoring their lives, praying for their families, and remaining committed to ensuring their service is never forgotten across Kansas. To every officer and first responder, thank you. America is grateful for all you do.

81 years ago, under General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s leadership, Allied Forces accepted Germany’s surrender, ending World War II in Europe. Eisenhower reminded the nation that victory over tyranny was worth great sacrifice, and his legacy helped define America’s role on the global stage. On Victory in Europe Day, we honor Kansas’ favorite son and the courage of all who fought to defend freedom around the world.

On National Nurses Day, we thank the nurses who serve patients and families across Kansas with compassion and professionalism every single day. Rural communities rely on strong nurses and health care workers to keep hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities running. We are grateful for all you do to keep our Kansas communities healthy and safe.

The Big First is home to crown jewels of the animal health corridor, leading the world in agricultural research with renowned institutions such as the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan. Our 2026 Farm Bill includes funding for NBAF and other places doing cutting-edge agricultural research and driving precision agriculture forward.

The Food for Peace Program has fed millions around the world while supporting American farmers since 1954. I’m proud that our 2026 Farm Bill, which passed in the House last week, includes my legislation to permanently restore the Kansas-born program to its rightful home at USDA, prioritizing the shipment of American-grown commodities to a hungry world.

Across the Big First, success is built on hard work, practical experience, and a willingness to learn. This week, we recognize the ambitious young men and women pursuing careers in rural industries, supporting local businesses, strengthening our workforce, and bridging the skills gap. The House just passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act with bipartisan support. Our 2026 Farm Bill expands trade promotion programs, invests in rural development and energy programs, reduces unnecessary bureaucracy, and prioritizes American commodities in food assistance programs. I’m proud of all @HouseAgGOP accomplished this year, delivering huge wins for our nation’s farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers.

Happy Farm Bill Day! Later today, we'll be voting on commonsense, pro-growth policies to deliver real wins for Kansas agriculture. I’m excited to get this bipartisan legislation across the finish line to bring certainty to the producers who keep America fed, fueled, and clothed.

Reliable water infrastructure is critical to protecting public health and keeping Kansas agriculture strong. @EPAregion7 is providing a grant to our state through its Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse program to help local communities improve stormwater and wastewater systems. These investments will support rural communities as they work to prevent pollution and keep our waterways clean.

I am proud to receive the Defender of Limited Government Award from the Institute of Legislative Analysis. As your Congressman, I will never stop working to advance policies that protect taxpayers, reduce government overreach, and uphold the principles of a limited, accountable federal government.

It was a pleasure to meet with the Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, Hays, and Liberal Chambers of Commerce while they were in DC last week. We discussed the state of the Big First economy and took a closer look at the industries that are driving growth across our region. It was great to hear their priorities for 2026, learn more about the challenges facing local businesses, and discuss our work ahead to support job creation and long-term economic success across Kansas. Rural communities deserve reliable, affordable access to health care. Last week, @HouseGOP passed the Improving Care in Rural America Reauthorization Act to expand telehealth and strengthen access to essential health services across rural areas like western Kansas.

I’m proud to stand with my Real Estate Caucus colleagues to lower housing costs instead of promoting policy that will further reduce supply and put the American Dream of homeownership further out of reach for future generations.
