NEW AD: Rampant waste, fraud, and abuse is ANOTHER tax on hardworking Michiganders.  I know because as Attorney General, I charged 55 illegal aliens in a major Medicaid fraud scheme that led to the recovery of more $350+ million in Medicaid fraud that I returned to taxpayers and led to numerous criminal prosecutions and convictions. I did this while cutting my own office staff size by 20% and returning money to taxpayers every year. Now we know today that fraudulent programs like Rx Kids are giving DIRECT cash payments to illegal immigrants, and Whitmer requested $20 million more for that program in her latest budget.  Anyone can talk about DOGE-ing waste, fraud, and abuse, but I have actually done it! As your Governor, I will find every bit of it, eliminate it, and put that money back in the pockets of hardworking Michiganders!

The MIGOP convention was a great success, and I want to congratulate Chairman Jim Runestad and thank him for his strong leadership. Now the focus shifts to the Democrat convention in April. For Secretary of State, Garlin Gilchrist would be the easiest opponent for us to beat. The public had no interest in his gubernatorial campaign, and he has even said he had no interest in ever serving as Secretary of State. Gilchrist has a dismal 4% attendance record in the legislature and has zero experience as a clerk or in administering elections. The Lansing establishment supports him simply because he does what he’s told. He frequently embellishes his resume and takes credit for accomplishments he had nothing to do with, including the GREAT DEAL I negotiated to save Medicaid funding in Michigan. I am willing to give him credit for his support of Governor Whitmer’s approach of working closely and cooperatively with me and President Trump. This sets up a great matchup for Anthony Forlini, who has won tough elections in Macomb County and brings proven experience as Clerk along with unmatched expertise in administering elections. In contrast, Gilchrist has lost every election he’s ever run in, including his bid for Detroit City Clerk, where he admitted there is widespread voter fraud in Detroit. Even though Gilchrist has lost numerous elections, maintains a 4% attendance record in the legislature, and has stated he has no interest in being Secretary of State, I must endorse him for the Democrat nomination. After all, he has accurately claimed there is widespread voter fraud in Detroit and has been very supportive of Governor Whitmer’s cooperative approach with President Trump. We can make Michigan great again IF the Democrat delegates do their part. Good luck, Garlin.
