President Trump delivered historic tax relief for working families. We amplified it right here in Michigan with no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security. These are the real numbers: Around 300,000 MI tipped workers will save $1,500 in overall taxes Around 500,000 MI overtime workers will save $2,000 in overall taxes Around 40,000 MI seniors will save $500 in state taxes Thank you President Trump and the Republicans in Congress for leading the way!

President Trump's tax cuts are delivering: No tax on tips • No tax on overtime • No tax on Social Security. 💰 Making a HUGE difference for Americans across the country! 🇺🇸

This was a scary scene in Kalamazoo this morning. I'm very glad the officers were able to stop him and get him off our streets before he hurt anyone else. Hopefully we get good news on the injured deputy soon. Let's all remember that our local law enforcement puts it all on the line every day to keep us safe, and we need to do what we can to support them in times like this. fox17online.com/news/local-new…

Thank you @realdonaldtrump for your strong address to the nation tonight exposing criminal voter fraud and reopening the FBI investigation in Muskegon to restore faith in our elections. Michigan House Republicans repeatedly called on Joe Biden's FBI to stop slow walking this investigation into Muskegon voter fraud, but it never happened. I fully support President Trump directing FBI Director Patel to reopen this investigation to find all criminal activity. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson should stop her obstruction and work with the Trump Administration to remove dead people and illegal aliens from Michigan's voter rolls.

Just like I predicted, @realDonaldTrump negotiated a much better deal for America on the Gordie Howe International Bridge. This is great news. America will now have a bigger say in the bridge tolls, and Michigan residents will benefit from the revenue just like we should. I don't know why Democrats fought against American interests on this. This is exactly what we wanted, and President Trump delivered. I'm looking forward to the bridge opening later this month, and I'm looking forward to the people of Michigan benefiting from it from years to come.

We now have a deal! And there are still no tax hikes, no raid on the rainy day fund and a smaller budget than last year.

My brilliant negotiating tactics have brought everyone back to the table to negotiate a budget deal. The parties are meeting right now to work out the new state budget. There is now a glimmer of hope for meeting the July 1 deadline. Stay tuned!

Another BIG WIN in court. Gov. Whitmer and MEDC just caved and agreed to return the $370 million in Democrat slush funds. They tried to shove all this waste, fraud and abuse into slush funds, and I said no way. Our Budget committee took a stand and BLOCKED it. Then the Democrats tried to sneak it out the door illegally, and I sued them to stop that. Now they finally agreed with my demand. That money is coming back to the state and we can find a much better use for it to protect the taxpayers and give them better value. Thank you to the Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee for having the backbone to take a stand and put a stop to this. Their vote to block the work project designation was valid, and the money will be put into the General Fund just as the statute requires. And just like it always should have been. I predicted this on the day we blocked all this wasteful spending back in December ⬇️

I've heard you loud and clear: property tax is one of the biggest issues families and seniors are struggling with in Michigan. My HELP UP (Hall Effectively Lowering Property taxes & Utility Payments) plan will help make life more affordable by ELIMINATING the state property tax and LOWERING your utility bills. Under my plan, Michigan families will save more than $1,400 every year on your property taxes and electric bills. This is a strong solution to a big problem!

After growing government spending by 40% and blowing a $9 billion surplus, Lansing Democrats are STILL telling you we need to: 📈Raise taxes 📈Raise fees 🫳Raid Michigan's rainy-day fund We combed through government spending to prove that departments are overbudgeting and getting tax dollars they never actually spend. By cutting this, we can: 📚Invest in schools 🛡️Invest in public safety 🏛️Invest in local government 📉Make government smaller
Michigan House Republicans@MI_Republicans

Our budget delivers on our promises to you by building on last year's efforts to change government spending in Michigan. We're investing in what matters most, eliminating waste, fraud, & abuse, and continuing to make government more efficient. We're also shielding Michigan taxpayers from $800 million in Democrat tax and fee hikes, rainy-day fund raids, all while keeping crucial programs funded and reducing state general fund spending nearly $600 million. Onward.
