When people evade tolls, it means less funding to fix roads, improve public transit, & invest in the infrastructure our communities rely on. That's why I introduced legislation to crack down on toll evasion, ban devices used to avoid tolls & strengthen enforcement. People who follow the rules shouldn't have to lose out because others refuse to pay their fair share.

Turkey’s most recent provocation and its military presence in Cyprus threatens one of our closest allies and the stability of the Eastern Mediterranean. For too long, Turkey has violated Cyprus’ sovereignty and territorial integrity with impunity. That must no longer be the case. The United States must stand with the people of Cyprus and make clear we will not tolerate Turkey’s aggression against our ally by demanding the removal of all Turkish F16s from Cyprus.

Our sympathy and concern is with the people of Cuba who have long suffered under the Castro regime and are once again without electricity. When met with the past failures of the regime, Cubans have raised their voices to demand a better future only to have the regime brutally crack down on its own people. I have heard from community members whose family members have faced the brutality of the regime and are being held as political prisoners. This is the story of the Castro regime. But it will not be the future of the Cuban people. And I will stand with them until they have the future they so rightfully deserve.

If you're not convinced ICE needs to be abolished, read this story: The Cruz family built their life in New York. Rachel is a public school teacher. Irvi worked multiple jobs. Their daughters - Sara (12) and Ana (10) - are U.S. citizens. But because they're a mixed-status family, they feared Trump's immigration system would tear them apart.
