When I served in the Idaho Legislature, one thing was always abundantly clear—legislation and debate must always be limited to a single subject. It goes without saying, but in D.C., that is not how things are run, and I believe that needs to change. I have reintroduced the One Subject at a Time Act, H.R. 4324, which will focus every bill the U.S. Congress considers on a single subject, ensuring each topic receives a separate vote. I asked Idahoans for their feedback, and the message was clear: make Daylight Saving Time (DST) permanent and end the twice-yearly clock changes. Today, I voted yes on H.R. 139, the Sunshine Protection Act, to do just that.

My federal lands management survey is now open, and I want to hear directly from Idahoans. Approximately 62 percent of the land within Idaho’s borders is owned and managed by the federal government, and from 2020 to 2025, nearly 2.7 million of those acres experienced some sort of closure to the public. This extensive federal footprint restricts our access, poses challenges to economic stability, and has exacerbated wildfire devastation due to inadequate stewardship. I am actively working on identifying policy solutions that ensure Idahoans have more say in our land management practices. Together, we can ensure Idaho’s public lands remain accessible, safe, and sustainably managed for generations to come. Polling data continues to show the vast majority of Americans support voter ID requirements. The SAVE America Act would: ✅ Require documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote ✅ Require a photo ID to cast a ballot These are straightforward, common-sense measures to safeguard the integrity of our federal elections.

In Idaho, women's and girls' sports will remain reserved for women and girls. Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Idaho and West Virginia’s laws protecting the integrity of female athletics. This historic decision affirms common sense values and reinforces a simple truth: female athletes deserve every opportunity to compete on a level playing field, succeed, and have their achievements recognized and protected.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court just handed states a major victory in one of the country's most closely watched culture battles: protecting girls' and women's sports. In a 6-3 ruling along ideological lines, the court upheld laws in Idaho and West Virginia banning transgender students from competing in women's and girls' school sports. Justice Brett Kavanaugh writing in his opinion, "The term 'sex' in Title IX... cannot plausibly be interpreted to refer to anything other than biological sex... The Court concludes that separate sports teams for biological males and biological females are reasonable given the inherent physical differences between the sexes."
