It is wrong to tax wildfire survivors on settlement money that is meant to help them rebuild their lives. Proud to work with my colleagues to extend our historic tax relief and ensure future settlements to survivors remain tax exempt through 2032, so Americans struck by disaster can focus on rebuilding their lives.

May is National Bike Month! Cycling is a fantastic way to stay healthy, reduce our environmental impact, and get around efficiently. As co-chair of the Congressional Bike Caucus, I’m proud to work on policies that support biking and make our roads safer.

The Supreme Court ruling today overturns sixty years of precedent, eviscerates the legacy of the Civil Rights movement and disenfranchises millions of Americans across our country. Honored to welcome veterans from the North Bay to our nation’s Capitol. North Bay Honor Flights provides veterans who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam the chance to fly to Washington to visit the memorials dedicated to their service. Thanks for all you do to ensure our vets’ sacrifices are never forgotten.

Great visiting with the Brown Family at “The Ranch” this morning at Brown Estate. The three siblings Deneen, Coral, and David have done a fantastic job running this beautiful winery. It was insightful to hear from them about the challenges impacting our wine community.

Well-trained, skilled workers are the foundation of successful communities. It was great to meet with North Bay Building Trades, which represents construction workers throughout our district, to hear more about the challenges the construction industry faces.

Thanks to the @napavintners for visiting while in D.C. and discussing pressing issues in our wine community. Grape vine disease and labeling protections were at the top of their list.

Today is Take Your Kid to work day and our Deputy Chief of Staff brought in his son, Hans, to see government at work. Great to meet the next generation of policy makers.

The Culinary Institute of America's Napa Campus does a fantastic job teaching our next generation of culinary experts. It’s an honor to represent them and support their work.

Joined my colleagues in protesting the Trump Administration’s plans to destroy D.C.’s 15th street bike lane. It was a big win yesterday when a judge ruled that the Administration cannot proceed with their plans to destroy the beautiful route that over a million cyclist use yearly.
