I don’t think the DSA Right needs to abjure the label “DSA Right.” It’s fine. “Left” is not, strictly speaking, a synonym for “good.” It’s okay to be more moderate than your peers.

If the point of any organization committed to, well, anything is to be the most maximalist and pure version of its commitment, then the furthest left person in DSA at any given time is the "best" member. I don't think this is true

@ByMSA21 @ferald_gord Sure, but I don’t expect a communist who believes the country is the most evil in the world to think about that. In recent years the Court has just kinda unambiguously been detrimental (barring things like Obergefell) so having an emotional reaction is warranted

@RepVanEppsTN @ferald_gord it has also done a lot of good. Without judicary review the supreme court becomes a glorified court of statuory interpretations. Without judical review the constitution becomes a self imposed set of guidelines for congress rather than a binding legal document

@every1youknow @ferald_gord Yeah that’s what I was getting at, it’s undoubtedly a terrible thing but it isn’t a great example of unique US evil. If anything, the response to it was a positive testament to the country
