I have a lot of work left to do, but I’m so proud of everything we accomplished together.

Thank you to my family, my colleagues, my staff, and most importantly to the people of North Carolina for the opportunity to be your voice in Congress.

Today, I had the chance to speak with my colleague @USRepMikeFlood at the @BlockchainAssn Summit. Building bipartisan consensus on the future of digital innovation is critical for moving us into the future.

Because of partisan gerrymandering by NC Republicans, that work is cut short. But I’m proud of what we were able to do in such a short time. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of that work, and showed up last night to commemorate it.

We introduced and pushed dozens of bills that would solve those problems. We worked across the aisle to do it, and got Republicans and Democrats on board.

Last night, my office hosted an event to celebrate the partnership of this community through this term. We accomplished a lot. And I’m grateful to my team of excellent staff on the ground every day in service of NC13. #ncpol

#NCGA Republicans are pushing an extreme power grab in SB382 for one reason: they’re upset about the election results. You can’t change the rules just when you lose. And you definitely can’t do it under the guise of “disaster relief”… only giving 6% of what’s needed. #ncpol

As many of you know, my term in Congress is up on Jan 2. While I won’t be coming back to the House next term, I’m not giving up on all the work left to do. This account will be closing when my term does, but I’ll still post updates on my other accounts!

🚨 @CFPB is returning over $53 million in illegal junk fees to NC consumers, part of $1.8 billion going to 4.3M Americans harmed by illegal credit repair scams. 
My bipartisan bill, the Ending Scam Credit Repair Act, would make it even harder for scammers to get away with this.

At yesterday’s @FinancialCmte hearing I asked @nathanmccauley about tech innovators being locked out of the financial system by the US government. This is unacceptable. For the US to be the global tech and finance leader, we must work in a bipartisan way to end debanking.

Working across the aisle is critical when dealing with the important issues under the Financial Services Committee’s jurisdiction. I was glad to be a part of that kind of work this term.
