Absolutely not. Why would we give $200 billion for an illegal war? We could be investing that money here in America by extending ACA tax credits and reversing some of the Republicans’ disastrous Medicaid cuts. People want healthcare, not warfare.

Today, I signed the House Dems discharge petition to force a vote on funding FEMA, TSA, and the law-abiding parts of DHS without any blank check for ICE and CBP’s lawlessness. We need America to be prepared for emergencies and we need to pay our TSA agents.

This is exactly why Congress needs to pass the bipartisan Government Surveillance Reform Act that @RonWyden and I introduced last week. We must close the data broker loophole and prevent this invasion of Americans’ privacy.
